[edit] Goal

The goal of development cycle 3 is to get the engine stable. Since most of the tasks mentioned below are as good as done, this shouldn't take too long. After this cycle is done it should (theoretically) be possible to release a beta version of the engine and a level editor for people to play around with.

  • Get the engine into a stable state that still allows easy addition of new features.
  • Fix collision detection.
  • Fix unstable or incomplete badguys and level objects: Rain particle system, Kugelblitz, e.a.
  • Freeze the level format definition; adding new level objects, badguys, etc. later should be possible without breaking backward compatibility.
  • Get one of the level editors (probably supertux-sharp) to meet the level format requirements.
